With a 25 year career in millinery, Karen Shannon has worked with hat-making greats like Stephen Jones, as well as fashioning seriously striking creations for film and theatre: she’s created hats for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Master and Commander and ever-popular witchy musical Wicked.  Karen will be showcasing sixteen unique hats and headpieces in The Gallery at Craft Central. Each piece has been made by hand, combining traditional and unusual materials ranging from leather and feathers to recycled glossy magazines.  You don’t get that with a Debenhams fascinator!
